Winter

El Nino 2009-2010

It feels like Spring here in the Northwest, but it isn't, not yet;
Instead, it is an El Nino year.

How does the change in whether patterns effect us?

It can be difficult to 'gear down' and bring your energy inward when everything in nature is ready to burst.

Spring will bring her treasures early this year.

 Enjoy!

Winter is a time to pause; to look inward; a time to listen.
Just as nature holds much of her wealth and potential during this time of year
within her roots... we hold, deep within, much wisdom.
If we are to mine the wealth within,
we must find space and time.

For your body, eat warm substantial foods:
meat, fish, whole grains.
Eat pungent flavors, chili, ginger, garlic, onion.

For your mind and spirit rejuvenate with yoga, tai chi, and meditation.
Additionally these practices maintain a healthy spine and
joint flexability, as well as promote vitality.

Remember, Winter is a time of storage and preparation.
Preparing to birth the potential you hold
within.
